If you have been on another planet for a while, the media keeps reminding us that we are in a recession. Just the watch the news or read a newspaper, they keep pounding you with negative news. Everywhere you turn there are ideas and ways to make through our current recession. Everybody has ways to help us survive. Do some research and you will find sources all over the internet handing out advice, most of the advice is:
1. Work harder at your job to become more valuable. (for the same money or less)
2. Look for opportunities at work to be involved in more projects. (for the same money or less)
3. Take on a part-time job
4. Consider refinancing your house for a lower rate and payment.
5. Pay-off, pay down or refinance high rate credit cards
6. Cut your overall spending in all areas, pack a lunch, eat at home etc…
7. When you have to spend money or get home or car repairs, negotiate a better price.
8. Turn the thermostat up or down to reduce your utility bills.
9. Put off any major purchases and do not add any debt.
10. Drive less, walk or bicycle more to reduce gasoline expense.
If you want I can keep going. I am sure I could think long enough until I hit 99. Then I could say there are “99 ways to skin a cat”. But I think you got the idea, so I won’t waste your time. Right now you could go to Google and search for ways to get rich, make money and survive our recession, you will probably come up with hundreds of ideas similar to the ten ways above plus many more form every Tom, Dick and Harry out there with an opinion.
Alright already, let’s just get to the point, enough dancing.
