Having faith in yourself is a requirement for success. Since you were born you started learning what you could do by your faith in yourself. As a child we learned to walk, talk, climb or ride a bicycle because we saw someone else do it, and then we had faith that we could do it. You had faith in yourself and you decided that you will learn to ride that 2 wheel bicycle no matter what. You kept trying no matter how many times you failed. Your faith in yourself told you that you could ride the bicycle, and eventually you did. You did not give up, you achieved success.
Then later in life you may try some things and succeeded, but then other things that you tried and failed you gave up. What happened to having faith in yourself? You saw others kids riding their bicycles, that created the faith in yourself that said you can do it too, and you did.
There are examples everyday of people that have done things that you want to do. That alone should be enough to create the faith in yourself to do the same thing. You know that if they could do it, then you can do it! Many of these people started from worst circumstances than yours, and they did it.
I don’t want to hear that they were smarter, taller, richer, younger, older or whatever. They did it, you can too!
